Home Schooling Is The Best For Our Children -Parents

Several Parents and guardians In the Ikeja Local Government Area of Lagos on Tuesday complained about the state of education in public primary schools.
They expressed their displeasure known to the Councillor of Onilekere, Ikeja Ward C, Adenuga Ayotunde.
Majority of their complaints stemmed from the failure by the authorities to fulfill the promises of School curriculum and physical abuse by teachers.
One of the parents, Mrs Edet bitterly complained that despite the increment of school fees and promises of teachers to impact knowledge on her child in primary one, who doesn’t know how to read and write numbers one to hundred(1-100) correctly, she has shown no improvement.

“In her bid to help my child, I enrolled her in an after school tutorial organized by the school and still, all efforts were futile.
“I decided to embark on home schooling her after school activities. After two months, I started seeing some level of improvement. My child can successfully read and write one- three hundred(1-300) and even goes on to read several books on her own,” Mrs Edet said.
