#CoronavirusChallenge: South Africans React As The Country Records Its First Case
Tobi Adebayo
South Africans on Twitter are trending the hashtag #CoronaVirusChallenge following reports of the country’s first recorded case of the deadly virus.
The case was first detected in the country’s eastern Kwa-Zulu Natal province.
The patient was identified as a 38-year-old man who visited Italy with his wife and has two children.
However, South Africans are optimistic that the virus will not become full blown in the country and are making jokes about the situation on Twitter with the hashtag #CoronaVirusChallenge.
