200 Houses Confirmed Destroyed In Abule Ado Fire



The Lagos State Fire Service on Monday confirmed that more than 200 houses were destroyed in the Abule Ado Fire that occured on Sunday.

The Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) had earlier confirmed that the inferno was as a result of a gas explosion that occured after a truck hit gas cylinders at a processing plant near its 2B pipeline Right of Way.

The Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu and his deputy, Dr Obafemi Hamzat were at the scene of the incident that has left 17 dead and several others injured.

Items of protective equipment have been sent to residents to prevent them from inhaling any poisonous substance that may generate due to the explosion.
