Lagos State Commissioner of Health, Professor Akin Abayomi has announced four new cases of the deadly coronavirus in the state.
Abayomi made the revealation during a press conference at Alausa, Ikeja.
The state now has a total of 11 confirmed cases.
“Patient 1 is the sibling of the 30-year-old female case who flew into the country from the United Kingdom on March 13. Patient 2 is a Nigerian female who arrived in the country from France on Istanbul flight TK1830.
“Patient 3 is a Nigerian male who has never traveled outside of the country while patient 4 is a Nigerian male who arrived in the country on Lufthansa LH568,” the Commissioner said.
The State Government on Wednesday placed a ban on religious gatherings of more than 50 worshipers and also ordered the closure of public and private schools.
