Lagos Instructs Drivers, Conductors To Wear Masks,Gloves

The Lagos State Government has issued a directive to all bus drivers and conductors to put on masks and gloves while driving as a means to prevent the spread of the Coronavirus disease.
The Lagos State Ministry of Transportation released a press statement on Monday which outlined various guidelines to prevent the spread of the disease.
The statement said that all transport operators and companies were expected to sanitize their parks before and after every trip and provide washing materials at the entrance of parks and hand sanitisers inside the vehicles.
The statement also said that standing in BRT and LSBL buses were prohibited and passenger spacing of 2m (5feet) should be given to anyone with symptoms of respiratory illness.

The statement further said that all conditioning system in public transport be put off and a thermometer to check temperature of passengers be provided before they board buses as well as the use of gloves and masks by drivers and conductors.
The Lagos State Ministry of Transportation stated that Operators/Companies and passengers should report any suspected case of COVID-19 to the Ministry of Transportation and passengers should also report any Operator/Company that does not comply with the guidelines to the Monitoring Officer at sight or write to the Ministry, stating the Vehicle Registration Number, Park and Time.
