The Bauchi State government has confirmed its second case of coronavirus.
The State Commissioner for Health, Dr. Aliyu Maigoro, announced this during a press conference on Thursday.
He said the second case is a 62-year-old patient.
The first case of the virus was recorded in the state on Tuesday, March 24, as the State Governor, Bala Mohammed, tested positive for the deadly coronavirus disease.
This was made known in a statement by the Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Media, Mukhtar Gidado, on Tuesday.
The Governor had on Monday, March 23, gone into self-isolation following his contact with the son of Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, who tested positive for the virus on Sunday.
