Some Nigerians have said they will not stop having sex with their lovers if condoms become scarce during the 14-day COVID-19 lockdown imposed on Lagos and Abuja by the Federal Government.

Goh Miah Kiat who is the CEO Karex Bhd ,the biggest manufacturer of condom in the world, recently said the world would soon witness the imminent shortage of the product because of the COVID-19 lockdowns in many countries of the world.

“We are going to see a global shortage of condoms everywhere, which is going to be scary. My concern is that for a lot of humanitarian programmes in Africa, the shortage will not just be two weeks or a month. That shortage can run into months,” he said.

But some Nigerians told that they would just find alternatives to condom and would not suspend sex.

A Nigerian who simply identified himself as Lawi said if he should run out of condoms during the isolation period, he would resort to other methods of ejaculating.

He said, “I will simply resolve to doing blowjob, hand job, oral sex, withdrawal method, social distancing styles(doggy), contraceptives pills and so on. The list is long”

Another person, Adebolayowa, said the world would soon come to an end, so he would not need to protect himself while having sex.

“Who needs condoms when the world is about to end? I will continue to sleep with my girlfriend without protecting myself. She can decide to use contraceptive but I’m not wearing a condom,” he said.

A Nigerian, Ayo Ameh, who is married, said he would adopt the withdrawal method and also take some pills to prevent his wife from getting pregnant.

“I will use the withdrawal method or resort to using strong Ampiclox to safeguard myself. Do you think it’s child’s play to have over 20-year experience marriage?

“At the end of this pandemic, there will be many child births. This is something boredom and lockdown can cause,” he said.

Reacting, Adebowale, another Nigerian said, “I will opt for storage which means we do it raw and she either uses postinor 2 every three days, or we do flesh after which she will evacuate. I mean abort. This is what storage is all about”

But Babatunde Olaoluwa said he would be practice total abstinence as the Minister of Health had said the virus can be transmitted from sex because of breathing and body fluid.

“What would I need condom for in the first place? Play safe people preach around does not only mean that u should not handshake and hug but total abstinence in all ramifications,” he said.
