Nigerians on social media have reacted to President Muhammadu Buhari’s approval of 774,000 Nigerians to be engaged by the Federal Government as Special Public Works Programme officials.
The development was announced by Minister of Finance, Budget and National Planning, Mrs Zainab Ahmed.
According to Ahmed, this intervention will be “undertaken in conjunction with the key federal ministries responsible for agriculture, environment, Health and Infrastructure, as well as the states, to financially empower individuals who lose their jobs due to the economic crisis.”
However, some Twitter users have reacted to the initiative, with some branding it as “audio employment.

They were the chosen 144,000 from the 12 tribes of Israel. Count yourself worthy if you are selected into Buhari’s job paradise for 774,000 Nigerians. I am a chosen generation..”
