Easter: Two Teenagers Drown In Lagos Beach

The Lagos State Police Command has deployed its Marine Police to search for the bodies of two male teenagers that drowned in a community beach at Ibeju-Lekki Local Government.

This was disclosed in a statement by the state’s Police Public Relations Officer, Bala Elkana on Sunday.

The victims were said to have drowned while playing on the community beach.

According to Elkana, the incident which occured at 3pm on Saturday, has left the parents of the deceased and residents of the community devastated.

“The teenagers were identified as Dare, who was 16 years old, and Fawas, 15 years old. They lived in Epelemeje Orofun community in Akodo axis of Ibeju-Lekki Local Government.

“The Command has deployed its Marine Police Team to the area on search and rescue operations. The Command advised parents to monitor their children and ensure that they remain at home during this lockdown period”, Elkana said.
