Lagos Discharges Nine COVID-19 Patients

The Lagos State Government has announced the discharge of nine coronavirus patients on Tuesday.

Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu made this known in a statement and urged the residents to continue practising social distancing in order to “break the chain of transmission of the infection.”.

“I have more great news from our isolation facilities. 9 more persons; 5 females and 4 males including 1 foreign national – a polish, have been discharged to join the society.

“The patients; 5 from the Mainland Infectious Disease Hospital, Yaba and 4 from Onikan Isolation centre were discharged having fully recovered and tested negative twice consecutively to COVID-19.

“With this, the number of patients successfully managed and discharged from our facilities is now 107.

“As our front line health workers records successes in the battle against #COVID19, we urge citizens to safe at home, practice Social distancing and adopt highest possible personal and hand hygiene,” the Governor said.
