COVID-19: Beware Of Fake News, 14 Of Our Staff Did Not Test Positive- LASG

The Lagos State Government has debunked a report that fourteen (14) staff of the State Government House tested positive for COVID-19.
This was made known by the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Gboyega Akosile via his official Twitter account on Tuesday and urged news platforms to be mindful of the information disseminated to the public this period.
An online publication had reported that fourteen staff including two security officers working in the Government House had tested positive for the disease.

Akosile tweeted: “Please beware of fake news! The attached piece of news is fake. This is nothing but irresponsible reporting, at a time when all hands are on deck for action against the ravaging #COVID19.
“News platforms should be mindful of what they push out to the public at this period.”
