COVID-19: Zambia Records 100 Cases 24 Hours After Lifting Lockdown

Zambia has recorded 100 new cases of the novel coronavirus disease within 24-hours of lifting the lockdown order in the country.

President Edgar Lungu had reopened the economy after citing adverse economic and humanitarian effects of the coronavirus-induced lockdown on the country.

As of yesterday, Zambia had recorded a total of 252 coronavirus cases including 7 deaths and 112 recoveries.

Developments in Zambia are undoubtedly going to affect the region’s efforts to curb the spread and transmission of the virus.
