Actor and Politician, Yul Edochie has blamed the drop in quality of Nollywood movies on “crappy actor and directors.”

Edochie made this known via his Twitter handle on Sunday and urged seasoned professionals in the movie industry to step up to the task of reviving the quality.

He wrote: “The quality of our home videos has dropped so much.

“Lots of crappy actors/actresses, crappy directors. We can’t continue like this.

“To all seasoned Nollywood practitioners, pls let’s revive it. People love our content all over the world. We just need to step up the quality.”

Is it not recently that our movies started being nominated for International Awards? Is is not recently that we started seeing real content?People always think their secondary school stopped shining when they left.”

@ghpks wrote:”Part of the reasons for the dip in the industry is that, many people now perceive the industry as an avenue for fame and riches; hence the needed passion is missing. Having echoed this flaw, may you also lead a practical charge to cure the rust and restore the immersed glory.”
