Bauchi State Governor, Bala Mohammed has lifted the ban on religious gathering imposed on the state to curtail the spread of COVID-19
Mohammed made this known on Wednesday at a stakeholder meeting held with traditional rulers, religious leaders and security agencies held at the Banquet Hall, Command Guest House in Bauchi, the state capital.
The Governor said the lifting of the ban would be for two weeks after which the government would review the level of compliance by the worshippers.
He stated that the conditions attached to the lifting of the ban includes the compulsory use of face masks, provision of hand sanitisers and running water at the worship centres.
The Governor also reiterated the observation of physical distancing and said all religious leaders, security operatives must ensure that the worshippers comply with the preventive measures put in place.
