Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State and Governor Rotimi Akeredolu of Ondo State, have appointed commanders for the Amotekun Corps, in their respective states.
Akeredolu on Wednesday appointed Chief Adetunji Adeleye as Corps Commander of the Ondo State Security Network Agency and Amotekun Corps.
According to a statement by his Chief Press Secretary, Mr Segun Ajiboye, the governor approved the appointment of Adeleye and some three others.
The new appointees are Mrs Toyin Akinmoyo (Senior Special Assistant, Women Affairs), Mr Bosun Oladimeji ( Senior Special Assistant, Publication) and Albert Akintoye (Senior Special Assistant, Public Utilities).
The Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde has appointed General Ajibola Kunle Togun (retd.), and Col. Olayanju Olayinka (retd.) as chairman and commandant, respectively, of the Oyo State Security Network, codenamed Amotekun.

The governor announced the appointment in a statement signed by his Special Assistant (Print Media) Moses Alao.
Togun retired from the military after serving as Director of Military Intelligence and former Deputy Director-General of the State Security Service.
Similarly, Olayinka served as Assistant Director, British Military Advisory Training Team, Defence Headquarters, Abuja; Deputy Chief of Staff (Logistics), Headquarters 2 Division, Nigerian Army, Ibadan and Sector Commander, Operation Safe Haven, Plateau State, among others.
