The World Health Organisation, (WHO) says that Nigeria has recorded the second-highest cases of COVID-19 in Africa.
The WHO Regional Office for Africa in Brazzaville, Congo, made this known via its official Twitter handle.
WHO reported on Tuesday that as of June 2nd, COVID-19 cases in Africa had risen to over 150,000.
“There are over 150,000 confirmed COVID-19 cases on the African continent – with more than 63,000 recoveries and 4,200 deaths,’’ it said.
South Africa, Nigeria, and Algeria have the highest reported cases on the continent.
