The Federal High Court in Abuja on Thursday dismissed the suit filed by 32 political parties against the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to reverse their deregistration.
The parties were among the 74 political parties deregistered by the commission over their poor performances at the 2019 elections.
Justice Anwuli Chikere dismissed the suit and held that the commission rightly deregistered the parties in line with the provision of section 225(a) of the Nigerian Constitution.
