Ondo Deputy Governor Reappoints Aides Sacked By Akeredolu

The Ondo State Deputy Governor, Agboola Ajayi has reappointed aides sacked by the Governor, Romiti Akeredolu.

The Governor of Ondo State, Rotimi Akeredolu, had fired all aides attached Mr Ajayi on Tuesday.

He took the decision following the defection of Mr Ajayi to the opposition party in the state, the Peoples Democratic Party.

The aides of the Deputy Governor were sacked two days after their boss dumped the ruling, All Progressives Congress, APC for the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

In a phone call with Ajayi’s Chief Press Secretary, Babatope Okeowo, he affirmed that the deputy governor had reappointed all the aides sacked by the State Governor.

“ Yes, it is true that the governor announced our sack, but there is no cause for alarm, as we have been reabsorbed by the Deputy Governor,” he said.

The affected aides are Olomu Bayo, special assistant, special duties; Allen Sowore, special assistant media; Olawale Mukaila, special assistant, photography, Babatope Okeowo, deputy chief press secretary; Samuel Ogunmusi, personal assistant, (deputy governor), Omotunmise Tokunbo, special assistant to the wife of the deputy governor; and Erifeyiwa Akinnugba, photography, wife of the deputy governor.
