NNPC Pipeline Burst: Fire Service On Stand By To Prevent Fire At Ayobo

Men of the Lagos Fire Service are on stand by at Pipeline Road, Ayobo, Ipaja to prevent possible fire outbreak as a result of burst NNPC pipeline in the area.

This was confirmed by the Acting Head, Lagos State Fire & Rescue Service, Mrs Margaret Adeseye while speaking with journalists in her office on Thursday.

According to her the agency was alerted to a burst NNPC pipeline conveying premium motor spirit at Ipaja at about 0904hrs and men of the Abesan Fire Station were immediately mobilized to avert any danger in the area based on the incident.

Mrs Adeseye further stated that Nigeria National Petroleum Company had shut down the line and are mobilizing to site to make necessary repairs.

She assured Lagosians to go about their normal business while confirming that danger would be averted as the situation is under control.
