Gbajabiamila To Akpabio: Publish Names Of Lawmakers Awarded Contracts By NDDC Or Face Our Wrath

The Minister of Niger Delta Affairs, Godswill Akpabio has been issued a 24-hour ultimatum to publish names of members of the National Assembly executing contracts with the Niger Delta Development Commission(NDDC).
Speaker of the House of Representatives, Hon. Femi Gbajabiamila issued the ultimatum at the Tuesday’s plenary and said Akpabio’s failure to do so will incur the wrath of the parliament.
Gbajabiamila also warned that the lower chamber, under his leadership “cannot and should not be subject to ridicule”

The Minister had on Monday told the House Committee on Niger Delta that most of the contracts at the Commission were awarded to some National Assembly lawmakers
“I am giving the Honourable Minister 24 hours to publish in newspapers, the names of the lawmakers, the contracts, their amounts and the companies awarded these contracts,” Gbajabiamila said.
