Lagos Tanker Accident Leaves One Dead

A yet-to-be-identified female has died in a petrol tanker accident that occurred at Mile 2, Lagos.

Spokesperson for the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA), Nosa Okunbor, confirmed the incident to Punch on Friday.

According to Okunbor, the LASEMA team was already carrying out a recovery operation at the scene of the accident.

“LASEMA Response Team is at Mile 2, inward the Nigerian Army Signal Barracks in recovery operation of a fully-loaded Oil Tanker conveying 55,000 litres of petrol involved in a lone accident which killed a female adult,” he said.
