The Kaduna State Government has relaxed the 24-hour curfew imposed on two out of four Local Government Areas in the state to curtail the killings in the southern part of the state.
The state Commissioner for Internal Security and Home Affairs, Samuel Aruwan, in a statement on Saturday said the decision to relax the curfew was based on advice by security agencies.
Aruwa said the 24-hour curfew in Kauru and Zango-Kataf LGAs had been reviewed to start from 6pm to 6am daily.

The statement read, “As efforts to diminish perils to communities and promote peace, the Kaduna State Government has accepted the recommendation to relax the curfew in Kauru and Zangon-Kataf LGAs. Curfew hours will now be from 6pm to 6am, effective from today (Saturday).
“This decision completes the relaxation of the 24-hour curfew imposed from 11 June 2020 to help contain security challenges initially in Kauru and Zangon-Kataf but later extended to Kaura and Jema’a LGAs.”
