Unions Shut Down Arik Air Operations In Lagos

Aviation Unions have shut down Arik Air operations over alleged non-payment of salsries and other anti-labour practices.

The unions include the National Union of Air Transport Employees and Air Transport Senior Staff Services Association of Nigeria.

According to the News Agency Of Nigeria, the unions swung into action on Monday by shutting down all Arik Air operations, including airlines.

It was gathered that the non-payment started after the company placed 90 per cent of the workforce on compulsory leave.
