Lekki Shootings: Nnamdi Kanu Defends Sanwo-Olu

Court Adjourns Nnamdi Kanu’s Trial Till Jan 18

Leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, Nnamdi Kanu has said that the Nigerian Army lied against Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, for claiming that he ordered for soldiers to be deployed to the Lekki Toll Gate.

Kanu, in a series of tweets, described the claim by the Nigerian Army as a “brazen lie” and said that Sanwo-Olu had no power to order for soldiers to be deployed to the toll gate where an unknown number of protesters were shot.

“Nobody should believe the Nigerian Army’s claim that it was Babajide Sanwo-Olu that ordered for soldiers to be brought to Lekki.

”It’s a brazen Lie. Since when did Governors become Army Commanders. Lekki Massacre was ordered by the Fulani Nigerian President and executed by a Fulanized Army.

”Dear junior officers & other ranks of the Nigerian Armed Forces: Under the Armed Forces Act, you’ve the right to disobey illegal orders of your superior officers.

“Being ordered by Nigerian Army to kill Nigerian youths is illegal. It’s a crime. Disobey it. Heavens won’t fall,” the tweets read.
