Gunmen Kidnap Wife Of Ondo State’s Chief Of Staff

Father of the five-day-old male child abducted by two gunmen on April 11 at Ijagbe community in Kogi State, Mr Tosin Ojuola, has been banished from the community.

Suspected gunmen have reportedly kidnapped the wife of Mr Olugbenga Ale, the Chief of Staff to Ondo State Governor, Rotimi Akeredolu.

Mrs Ale was kidnapped in the Owena Area of Ondo State on Thursday night.

Her abduction came barely few hours after the Olufon of Ifon in the Ose Local Government Area of the State was shot dead by unknown gunmen while returning from Akure, the State Capital.

An aide to Governor Akeredolu confirmed the incident said that the Governor could not submit the Ondo 2021 budget due to the incessant cases of kidnappings in the State.

He said, “The Governor is aware of the incident already and has also visited the house of the Chief of Staff at Alagbaka with plans to ensure the safe release of the woman.

“He could not even present the 2021 budget before the state’s House of Assembly and had to send one of his commissioners to do the presentation on his behalf due to the incident.
