How International Singer, Enisa Won The Hearts Of Nigerians

American singer and songwriter, Enisa Nikaj, has managed to win the hearts of Nigerians on social media after lending her voice to the EndSARS protest.

The 24-year-old Brooklyn based singer had tweeted in solidarity and support for Nigerians during the nationwide protest against police brutality and extrajudicial killings.

While the EndSARS campaign received immense love and support from different international stars, Enisa, who released her debut single “Burn This Bridge” in 2016, became Nigeria’s sensational favourite.

Nigerians on the micro-blogging site, Twitter, have since returned her support by streaming her songs.

Within a short period of support shown to Enisa by Nigerians, her latest single, ‘Love Cycle’ has gained popularity on different social media platforms and music charts.

Excited by the love and affection shown, Enisa, in an appreciation post expressed gratitude for the love Nigerians has shown her. According to her, that was the first time her songs has ever trended on Twitter.

In a tweet she wrote,

“NOW WE GOT MY SONG “LOVE CYCLE” TRENDING. This is the first time my song has ever trended on Twitter. Love you guys with all my heart for supporting me.”

In another development, the singer who requested for tags to feature a Nigerian singer on the remix of love cycle got the attention of Nigerian singer, David Adeleke popularly known as Davido, who showed interest in working on the remix with her.

Over the weekend, Enisa’s followers on Twitter increased from 20,000 to 94,000 followers.
