Okonjo-Iweala Urges FG To Rescue Abducted School Boys

The former Minister of Finance, Dr Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, has urged the Federal Government to rescue the abducted schoolboys from Government Science Secondary School, Kankara, Katsina State.
She said this in a tweet via his verified Twitter account on Tuesday night.
Okonjo-Iweala who described the incident as heartbreaking said the perpetrators must be held accountable.

She wrote, “The abduction of more than 300 schoolboys in Katsina is heartbreaking. What a recurring nightmare. My heart goes out to the families of the missing boys. The authorities must do all possible to #BringBackOurBoys! Those using our children as pawns must be held accountable!”
Over 500 students were abducted after gunmen stormed the school on Friday night.
Boko Haram terrorist group on Tuesday claimed responsibility for the abduction.
The terrorist group’s leader, Abubakar Shekau, in a video said the act was done in order to discourage people from obtaining western education.
