Driver Absconds With Boss’s Car

Men of the Ogun State Police Command has apprehended one Eyo Eta while absconding with his boss’s car, a Toyota highlander with registration number APP 467 GS.

The suspect was accosted by men of Federal highway patrol at Imeri juncture Ijebu Mushin while heading to Benin on Tuesday night.

A statement by the command said he was arrested by the policemen after he was unable to give satisfactory answers to all the questions posed to him.

The suspect confessed at the station that he was taking the car to Benin City unknown to the owner of the car.

The DPO Ijebu Mushin, Hillary Simire was said to have placed a call to the owner of the car who identified himself as Omopariola.

He stated that the driver ran away with the vehicle from Lagos and that he had already reported the case to the police.

The State Commissioner of Police, Edward A. Ajogun had directed that the suspect be transferred to the State Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department for further investigation.
