The Chief of Staff to the President, Ibrahim Gambari, on Monday received a first jab of the COVID-19 vaccine.
Gambari was among top government officials who were vaccinated against COVID-19.
The Chairman of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, Gen. Buba Marwa (retd.) and the Permanent Secretary of the State House, Tijjani Umar were also vaccinated.
The Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and Publicity, Garba Shehu, received his at about 10:41 am.
The Chief Nursing Officer of the State House Clinic, Esther Ibrahim, vaccinated all the government officials.
In his remarks, Gambari said the vaccination was painless.
He, therefore, advised eligible Nigerians to take the vaccine, assuring them that it is safe.
