Four Killed In Anambra Cult Clash

Four persons have allegedly been killed and one person injured as rival cults clashed at Okija in the Ihiala Local Government Area of Anambra State.

It was gathered that in the community there were similar attacks in the past and not less than seven persons have lost their lives

Last week a young man had his head cut off in the presence of his nonagenarian mother and taken away by suspected cultists.

Three persons were killed on Monday, while the latest victim, who hailed from Umuatuegwu village, was hit by a stray when two rival cult clashed and were exchanging gunfire.

Members of the group create tension in the area and they continue to harass each other at the busy Nkwo Okija Market.

Meanwhile, police personnel had been deployed in the area to control the situation on ground

According to the state Police Public Relations Officer, Tochukwu Ikenga, he had yet to get the report of the incident.
