Imo Attack: IGP Arrives Owerri

The Inspector General of Police (IGP) Mohammed Adamu on Tuesday arrived at the Imo State Police Command.
The IGP’s visit follows the Monday morning attacks on the state police command headquarters in Owerri and the Owerri Correctional Centre.

Adamu who arrived in Owerri said he was there to inspect the extent of damage caused during the attack by the hoodlums.
The hoodlums freed 1,884 inmates, burnt not less than 50 vehicles and burnt a soldier in a car after they attacked a military base at Ukwuorji on Owerri-Onitsha Expressway, setting ablaze four military operational vehicles.
