The North-Central Coalition for Leadership has faulted a group, North-Central Council of the All Progressives Congress, APC, for asking the Governor of Kogi State, Yahaya Bello, to drop his presidential ambition.
NCCL said the APC group’s claims on zoning formula were fictitious and non-existing.
The NCCL, in a statement by its National Coordinator, Charles Williams, said the publication credited to the APC group in the media was totally irrelevant and far from the opinion of concerned stakeholders from the North-Central region.

Williams challenged the APC group to point out the part of the party constitution stipulating that a particular zone not entitled to the presidency at any point in time.
“We have been assisting other zones to produce the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria and we say enough is enough; it’s time (for us) to produce the president,” he said.
