Agitators seeking the secession of the ethnic-Yoruba people from Nigeria on Saturday held a rally in Akure, the Ondo state capital.
The members are seeking independence of predominantly ethnic-Yoruba states in Nigeria’s southwest.
The protesters grouped at Isinkan roundabout, Akure in the early hours of Saturday.

Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu of Ondo had in March warned all agitators for Yoruba nation to stay away from the state.
However, the protesters defiled the governor’s warning by staging a peaceful rally in the state.
