Lagos Confirms 153 New COVID-19 Infections

The Lagos State Government has recorded 153 new cases of COVID-19.
The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC, announced this on Monday.
The post read, “161 new cases of #COVID19Nigeria; Lagos-153, FCT-4, Gombe-2, Oyo-1, Rivers-1.
“168,713 confirmed, 164,476 discharged, 2,124 deaths
Today’s report includes: ✅74 cases from Lagos State reported on the 11th of July, 2021✅4 states with zero cases reported: Ekiti, Kaduna, Nasarawa, and Ogun.”
This brings the total number of confirmed cases in the state to 60,519.

Meanwhile, Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu has expressed concern over the increasing cases of coronavirus disease in the state.
Sanwo-Olu in an update on Sunday said isolation centres in the state have recorded a five per cent increase in occupancy in two weeks.
The Governor said it appears that there is a potential third wave in Lagos State.
