Truck Collides With Petrol Tanker On Lekki-Epe Expressway

An accident involving a Mack tanker fully laden with 45,000 litres of Petroleum Motor Spirit and a tipper truck has occurred on Lekki-Epe Expressway, Lagos.

The tanker which was hit by the tipper truck, reportedly spilled its contents around the NNPC Filling Station it was meant to service.

A statement by the Lagos State Fire Service said, “The incident which occured at Majek Bus Stop, inward Sangotedo, Lekki-Epe Expressway, Lagos is currently being averted from danger.

“The Lagos State Fire and Rescue Service is mitigating the situation with the deployment of Chemical Foam Compound to neutralize the Petrol from causing a secondary incident.

“Motorists and passersby are hereby advised to tread with utmost caution around this corridor until evacuation is completed.”
