Alleged Theft: Police Arrest Woman For Inflicting Injuries On Neighbour’s Son

Men of the Ogun state police command have arrested one Shade Adelowo for using razor blades to inflict injuries on the body of an 11-year-old boy, Kehinde Ojo, over an allegation that he stole N3,000 from her purse.

The suspect, a mother of two who resides at Giwa Oke Aro area of Agbado, was arrested following a report lodged at Agbado divisional headquarters by the victim’s mother.

A statement by the command said upon the report, the DPO Agbado division, Kehinde Kuranga, detailed his detectives to the scene where the suspect was promptly arrested.

The suspect who confessed to the crime blamed it on devil’s handwork.

“The victim has been taken to hospital for medical treatment and he is responding to treatment.

“The State Commissioner of Police, Lanre Bankole, has ordered the immediate transfer of the suspect to the anti-human trafficking and child labour unit of the state criminal investigation and intelligence department for further investigation and diligent prosecution.”
