The Lagos State Government has ordered the indefinite closure of Dowen College in the Lekki area of the state.

The closure was ordered following the death of one of its students, Sylvester Oromoni, who was allegedly beaten over his refusal to join a cult group.

The Commissioner for Education, Mrs. Folasade Adefisayo announced the closure after a meeting with the School Management and Staff.
