Balotelli Set To Return To Italy Squad
Former Liverpool and Manchester city striker Mario Balotelli is set to return to the Italian National Team.
The 31-year-old hasn’t played for his national side in three years, after being dropped due to to some downsides in his career.
For much of his career, Balotelli has failed to live up to his promise having been coached by some of the best managers in the world and played for the biggest clubs.
Now in Turkey, he seems to have found his form and with eight goals and four assists in 20 games this term.
Reported on 23rd of January 2022, by renowned Italian journalist, Fabrizio Romano, Mancini appears to be ready to give Balotelli another chance.
This is also a boost for Italy who are in the World Cup Qualifiers Playoffs and are eyeing a qualification spot for the world cup in Qatar later this year.

Balotelli last appearance for the European champions came back in September 2018, when Italy drew 1-1 with Poland in the Nations League. And his last international goal came back in May 2018, in a 2-1 friendly win over Saudi Arabia.
Balotelli earned his first cap for Italy in a friendly match against the Ivory Coast on 10 August 2010.
He amassed over 30 caps and represented his country at UEFA Euro 2012, the 2013 FIFA Confederations Cup, and the 2014 FIFA World Cup.
He helped the national side reach the final of Euro 2012, and also won a bronze medal at the Confederations Cup.
