SUSPENSION: NURTW Shuns Sanwo-Olu’s Order

Members of the suspended National Union Road Transport Workers have been spotted carrying out their duties at parks and garages despite the order by the Lagos State Government for the union to halt activities.
In different parts of the city, many members of the union were seen collecting dues from transporters.

Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu had on Thursday suspended the acctivities of Lagos NURTW due to the conflict between the national body and the state chairman, Musiliu Akinsanya known as MC Oluomo.
Union officials were seen on Friday morning harassing commercial bus drivers to pay dues in places First Gate, Mile 2, Suru, Alaba and Orile.
Many were fully kitted in the union uniform while some others wore caps, aprons or materials with NURTW name or logo.
