Military Kaduna Warns Community As They Conduct Live Shooting Exercise
The 17 Brigade of the Nigerian Army, Katsina, has urged residents of Natsinta village, Jibia Local Government Area, Kaduna, to avoid the 35 Battalion Range as troops will be conducting a live ammunition shooting exercise in the area.
According to a press statement by Assistant Director, Army Public Relations, of the 17 Brigade, Lieutenant Sinivie Tamuno, the exercise will take place on Friday, March 18, 2022.
Tamuna said, “The exercise is part of the annual routine training activities of the Nigerian Army, usually conducted across Formations and Units to ensure proficiency and productivity amongst personnel.”
He also noted that “the formation has put in place adequate precautionary measures to ensure a hitch free exercise.”
He advised residents of the area, as well as farmers and herders to kindly stay off the range area for the period of the exercise.

In the same vein, he urged the general public to avoid panicking on sighting troop’s movements and hearing the sound of gunfire at the range area during the exercise period.
