Nigerians have taken to social media to react to the sentencing of Lagos socialite, Pearl Ogbulu, who was arraigned for distributing Premium Motor Spirit, PMS, as a souvenir at a party.
Earlier this month, Ogbulu distributed PMS as a souvenir during her installation party.

The magistrate also ordered the defendant to pay a one million naira fine on the second and third count of the charge or face two years imprisonment.

He said, “What sentence is for those who imported adulterated petrol and brought hardship on people by the scarcity created? Nigeria we hail thee!”
“Nigeria is a failed Nation the judiciary system in Nigeria is also a failure, how can you just hastily pass such judgement because of fuel souvenir to people when Nigerians are suffering from the hand of this wicked and heartless government of Buhari who failed to provide fuel for Nigerians. What about those that refuse to allow our refinery to work. God will reward every member of this Buhari administration,” Ojo Albert lamented.
Young Bishop, another user said, “When it comes to this, Our Judiciary will know how to quote sections in the Constitution It’s rather unfortunate. But what happens to our people? Bandits massacre everyday. Nothing has been said to that regards. Stop sentencing abiding citizens for nothing.
“We can’t sleep in Southern Kaduna. Killings and Kidnaping every day…. But Those perpetrators won’t be sentenced oo. God will Judge.” (SIC)
