Court Orders Abba Kyari, 6 others To Be Remanded In Kuje Prison

The Federal High Court sitting in Abuja, has ordered that Deputy Commissioner of Police, Abba Kyari, and six others charged for drug trafficking be transfered to Kuje Correctional Center.

The judge, Justice Emeka Nwadike gave this order on Monday after he denied the seven defendants bail stating that the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency presented concrete materials to ensure the bail was denied.

The court equally denied bail to former members of the IRT, ACP Sunday Ubia, Inspector Simon Agirgba, and Inspector John Nuhu.

Other Defendants in the charge marked FHC/ABJ/57/2022, are; ASP Bawa James, as well as two drug traffickers that were arrested at the Akanu Ibiam International Airport in Enugu, Chibunna Patrick Umeibe and Emeka Alphonsus Ezenwane.
