DSS Operatives Barricade Court Premises Ahead Of Nnamdi Kanu’s Trial

Ahead of the Friday trial of the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, operatives of the Department of State Services have blocked all access routes to the High Court in Abuja.

This move is believed to further secure the court premises against any attempts to infiltrate it by IPOB members.

The Nigerian government levelled a 15-count charge bordering on terrorism and felony against Kanu who will appear before Justice Binta Nyako today (Friday).

However, reports had it that the Chief Judge of the Federal High Court, Justice Tosho, ordered a secret trial of all terrorism cases.

To this end, Kanu’s trial may be shifted to the Code of Conduct Tribunal, CCT.

Meanwhile, Justice Nyako is expected to rule on Kanu’s fundamental human rights suit against the Federal Government.
