Unemployment: Diaspora Group Offers To Support FG

The Nigeria Diaspora Network has promised to join the Federal Government to tackle youth unemployment.

The group offered to train youths o become self-reliant.

In a statement made available, the Financial Director of NDN, Samuel Iyabo decried the number of unemployed youths in the country and said they are ready to join the FG in annihilating it.

He stated that this will to conquer the ongoing economic and security crisis in the country.

Iyabo disclosed that they have made effort to ensure that the youths are sensitised through workshops, financial support and other programmes on how to be self-reliant.

“The NDN is a group of Nigerian professionals in Diaspora working towards a transformed Nigeria.

“We are committed to advocating for good governance with the aim of sharing opinions to tackle pressing social, economic, democratic and cultural issues in Nigeria.

“The NDN is ready to partner with the government on how to engage the youths on self-employment,” he said.

He also distanced the group from any political affiliation presently or in future.

He said as part of the efforts, the NDN and Nigerians in Diaspora Organisation Americas had agreed to organise a virtual youth summit to drive transformational impact and positive change in the country.

He said that the summit, scheduled to take place on April 9, is titled: “Youth and National Development in Nigeria.”

He said the group was ready to back the government’s agricultural programme of provision of soft monitored loans for agric practice in each local government areas of the country.
