Rivers Passenger Buses Hijacked By Gunmen

Two commercial buses with passengers have been seized by armed men in Rivers State on Monday evening.

According to reports, the buses were hijacked along Degema/Buguma/Abonnema Road on East/West road on their way to Kalabari riverine axis in Degema, Asaritoru and Akukutoru Local Government Councils.

The whereabouts of the passengers and the buses are unknown as of press time.

Rivers Police Command was yet to confirm the incident but locals said the development caused tension in the area.
