Timothy Adegoke: Adedoyin’s Trial Stalled As Co-Defendant Collapses

The trial of owner of Hilton hotel, Ile-Ife, Dr Rahmon Adedoyin has been postponed due to the collapse of the second defendant, Magdalene Chiefuna in court on Monday.

Adedoyin was charged alongside six staff of his hotel over the alleged murder and interference with the corpse of a Master’s Student of Obafemi Awolowo University, Timothy Adegoke.

Adedoyin, and six staff of the facility namely; Adedeji Adesola, Magdalene Chiefuna, Adeniyi Aderogba, Oluwale Lawrence, Oyetunde Kazeem, and Adebayo Kunle, had been arraigned on 11 counts bordering on conspiracy, murder, altering of receipt and administration of extrajudicial oath.

Chiefuna, who started coughing in court appeared before the Osun Chief Judge Justice Oyebola Ojo.

She slumped during a heated argument between the counsel from the Ministry of Justice and defendants’ counsel, Femi Falana, SAN.

Justice Ojo gave short adjournment so that the second defendant can be attended to.
