Purge Yourself Of Hatred If You Want Presidency, Omokri Advises Igbos

Reno Omokri, a former aide to ex-President Goodluck Jonathan has advised indigenes of the South eastern part of Nigeria to purge themselves of hatred against other Nigerians if they want the region to produce a president.

The region has not produced any president since Nigeria switch to democratic system of government. This has led to several agitations by different group, the most pronounced being the Indigenous People of Biafra led by Nnamdi Kanu.

The Federal Government went on to proscribe the group because of its “illegal activities” and took Kanu into custody, charging him for 15 crimes, 8 of which was recently struck out by a Federal High Court sitting in Abuja.

Omokri was a supporter of IPOB until 2021 when he withdrew his support for the group stating that the group is out to force its decision on others.

In a post on Twitter on Tuesday, Omokri said the region may never get the presidency if they continue to victimise anyone with a contrary opinion.

His words, “Before any region can produce the President, its people must refine their mindset and deploy diplomacy over militancy. To be so full of venom to the extent of collectively lynching anyone online with a contrary opinion may mean the region NEVER gets the Presidency!#TableShaker”
