Computer Village Traders Protest Over Killing Of Colleague By MOPOL

A group of traders at Computer Village in the Ikeja area of Lagos State on Wednesday had protested over the killing of their colleague, Chikere Obieshi, by a Mobile Police (MOPOL) during birthday celebrations with colleagues.

According to the protesters, the late Chikere Obieshi who was popularly called JB by his colleagues was an electronic dealer who owns a business name called JB Communications in Computer Village.

AN24TV gathered from a reliable source that Chikere Obieshi was allegedly shot dead on Sunday by a Mobile Police Officer during birthday celebrations with his colleagues.

During a live video by The Punch Newspaper, which was monitored by AN24TV, an eyewitness disclosed that Obieshi was killed during birthday celebrations and that they are seeking justice for the deceased.

They called on the government to look into the case with immediate effect.

Speaking on the death of her boss, a young lady who is one of the deceased employees said she wants justice for her boss.

She said her boss helped people, adding that he was a nice man and he doesn’t look for trouble.

Some concerned citizens in the vicinity while reacting to the killing, described the incident as a sign of a lack of good security in the country.

They called on the government to investigate and bring the culprit to book.
