Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu has disclosed that the fee for the Nomination and Expression of Interest forms for his second term bid was paid by the national leader of the All Progressives Congress, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu.

This was made known by the governor’s Chief Press Secretary, Gboyega Akosile via his Twitter account.

Akosile tweeted on Friday, “Asiwaju Tinubu paid for my second term nomination and expression of interest forms to run for the second term, says Sanwo-Olu.”

This would lay to rest social media claims that the presidential hopeful dumped Sanwo-Olu for a former Permanent Secretary in the Lagos State Civil Service, Mustapha Olorunfemi.

Tinubu and Sanwo-Olu forms were picked on the same day by a group, Tinubu Support Groups, which was led by former Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Babachir Lawal and House of Representatives member, James Faleke
