Buhari Appoints Adamu Tutuwa As New DG FIIRO
President Muhammadu Buhari has approved Dr Adamu Tutuwa as a substantive Director-General and Chief Executive Officer of the Federal Institute of Industrial Research (FIIRO), Oshodi Lagos.
The appointment as approved by President Buhari was contained in a statement issued on Friday by the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation, Mrs Monilola Udoh.
News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that Tutuwa’s appointment takes effect from May 10, 2022, with a five-year non renewable tenure.

Upon her appointment, she is expected to use her knowledge and experience to boost the research activities at FIIRO with her core competence in biochemistry and affiliation to scientific donor agences.
It would be recalled that Dr. Tutuwa prior to her new appointment was the Director of the Biotechnology Centre of the National Biotechnology Development Agency in Jalingo, Taraba State.
